KKoh Kong Sugar Industry Company Limited is a private limited company with CHAMROON CHINTHAMMIT, Thailand, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koh Kong Sugar Industry Company Limited. The project proposes a concession of 15,000 hectares in Sre Ambel district, Koh Kong province for investment in agro-industrial production and processing factories (sugar). However, the project can only be approved in principle of 10,000 hectares of land concessions only from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on March 17, 2006. Further, the project received the approval from the Royal Government to grant 10,000 hectares of land on March 20, 2006. After receiving approval, the project was requested by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on March 21, 2006, to assign specialized officials to go down to locate the actual project.

After the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries team assessed and decided by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and from the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Company was authorized to invest in an area of ​​9,700 ha. In Sre Ambel District, Koh Kong Province.

After that, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has asked the government for permission to sign a contract with the company. The Royal Government handed over the authority to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to sign the Company with letter No. 85, dated 18 July 2006 and signed a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on August 02, 2006.

After the company has signed a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the company has registered land at the Ministry of Land Management and Construction, with the removal of some relevant land, leaving the remaining land for business Officially 8,657 ha.

The objective of setting up an agro-industrial plant is to focus on growing sugarcane.

The purpose of investing in the company concession is to focus on:

Increasing sugarcane productivity in the area of ​​concessions through development of sugar cane cultivation, plantation and agro-industry.

Creating a green zone and helping to prevent soil erosion, create a good environment, and restore natural environment in the concession area.

Contributing to rural economic development, increasing income for the people, especially those who live near concession land, aiming to reduce poverty in accordance with the policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

In the investment process, the company will need capital for the first cultivation work for civil construction for agricultural equipment and for transport vehicles, amounting to US $ 64,060,224.93.

Currently, the company has grown sugar cane and set up a sugarcane processing plant on an area of ​​8,657 hectares, which is divided into four sub-regions. Cultivated varieties are 95-2-156, K84-200, K88-92, K95-84, KK-3, LK92-11, Phill63-17, Chaina, UT8, Suwannakhet, Multi Cane Seed from Thailand. . The average yield of past years is year-on-year, depending on weather and geographical location in each sub-region:

– In 2010-2011, 6,488 hectares of cane cultivated area yielded 196,586 tons (30.3 tons per hectare).

– In 2011-2012, cultivation area of ​​sugar cane was 6,472 ha, yield reached 116,237 tons (17.96 tons / ha).

– In 2012-2013, cultivation area is 5,125 ha, yields are 104,243 tons (20.34 tons / hectare).
